· Very solid traditional textbook approach to the principles of accounting concepts. The book has
financial concepts in 17 chapters. I prefer sequencing to start with big picture financial statement use
before drilling into transaction analysis. This book jumps into transaction analysis in the beginning.
· Each chapter starts with a connection between the student and a potential career or role in accounting.
· This textbook has a student workbook available for download for 9 dollars from freeloadpress. This is
extremely reasonable and includes solutions and exercises. It appears that instructor solution manual
and test bank are also available from textbookmedia.

If you were to recommend this textbook to colleagues, what merits of the textbook would you highlight? · This is a very good textbook that incorporates traditional concept sequencing, demo problems, self tests and includes connections to careers and roles in accounting. · I particularly like the end of chapter group activities that can be used in a problem based learning class environment. What areas of this textbook require improvement in order for it to be used in your courses? · I need the algorithmic homework problems/exercises that can be auto graded for immediate feedback to students.
