FIRST CONFESSION The boys and girls from the town schools will meet Our Lord in the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Tuesday March 7th in Kells Church - the Girls at 7pm and the Boys at 8pm. season of Lent Masses: Mon to Fri 7.45am & 9.30am Sat 10.00am & 6.30pm. Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament continues Mon to Fri 8am-5.30pm. Fasting is encouraged especially on the Fridays of Lent. ************************************************************************* MORNING PRAYER OF THE CHURCH We have introduced Morning Prayer of the Church 10 minutes before both morning Masses (ie,7.35am & 9.20am Mon-Fri) during Lent. If you are able to come a little earlier to Mass please join us as we Praise God in prayers that are older than the Church itself.
1. Fast, maybe skip one meal from time to time....a gentle fast like this will refresh our memory that many people in the world go hungry every day. 2. Meditation & Prayer - these lead to a closer connection with God; do the stations of the Cross or spend a Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament. 3. A weekend away from the mobile. 4. Visit a neighbour/relative in long term nursing home. NEW WORK OF ART FOR KELLS CHURCH * The work to erect the new work of art on the theme of Creation begins this week and hopefully it will be in place by the end of the week. * The Parish Community thanks those parishioners who have made a financial contribution towards the cost of the work. * If any other person or group wishes to make a contribution they may contact Fr.
